A 1v1 minesweeper roguelike
Open a square and it tells you how many bombs are touching it. Work out the rest. Everything you win sits in the cart at risk until you bank it, and somewhere on the same grid the other contestant is working it out too.
The board is shared
Every square you open is information you hand to them. Their 2 touching your 1 solves a cell for both of you, so there is a real cost to opening a square you did not need.
Bank it, or go on
Bank early and keep a little. Push on and the multiplier climbs. Hit a bomb and the cart is gone, every time. What you banked is never touched.
Blow your mine
Once per descent, detonate every bomb you flagged. The better you read the board, the bigger the bang. Free, and it cannot be bought.
The lamp runs down
When it goes out the numbers stop showing and you keep playing. You still have the shape of what you learned. You just cannot read it any more.
Everything on screen is a bomb
Including you. Five of them are buried under the floor and they are not all the same: one takes its neighbours with it, one is asleep until the round ends, one moves when you are not looking, and one is a dud.
Tell me when it launches
One email when the full game is out. That is the whole arrangement.
